We wish to congratulate Professor Antonio Nanni for being awarded the prestigious Knight of the Order of Star of Italy. This award is presented to people who have promoted friendly relations and co-operation between Italy and other countries.

Pultron has had the privilege of working with Professor Nanni on the durability and performance of composite reinforcement.

Professor Nanni chairs the University of Miami College of Engineering, Department of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering where he is a professor and inaugural Senior Scholar. He is a structural engineer with expertise in construction materials, structural performance, and field application. His interests are in the field of civil infrastructure sustainability and renewal. He has studied concrete and advanced composite-based systems with sponsorship from federal agencies, state agencies, and private industry.

His research into glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar materials, has made him a great advocate for the composites industry and respected advisor to government transportation departments and the civil engineering sector.
