Pete RenshawBSc (Hons)
Chief Technical Officer
Pete has over 25 years' experience working with pultrusion technology and is considered one of the world's leading pultrusion experts.
His ability to deliver composite solutions is based on a combination of in-depth pultrusion knowledge and multi-industry experience. With an excellent track record of rapid innovation and development, he is well-regarded for his advisory and technical expertise. He has overseen multiple patents and many world-first innovations while at Pultron.
Pete can advise on all facets of pultrusion technology and establish whether composites is the most effective material to suit an application.
Pete is an ambassador to the composites industry, representing Pultron and Mateenbar Ltd on various committees including ASTM, ACI and ACMA where he serves as a technical adviser.
Some of his most memorable projects include building new schools in the Marshall Islands using mateenbar™ and taking part in final testing of self-drilling GFRP rock bolts in a test tunnel in Switzerland.
Dr Peter HoldsworthBE, Doctor of Engineering, FEngNZ
Co-founder, Technical Director
Peter Holdsworth is well-known as an engineer, entrepreneur, inventor, and co-founder of Pultron Composites Ltd.
His innovations include the development of materials science and pultrusion technology; the design and development of mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to build pultrusion machines and associated equipment; seamless die technology; and new product development.
As Technical Director, Peter has been a driving force at Pultron - working with research, design and engineering teams, often being consulted on a range of technologies and potential innovations.
In 1996, Peter was awarded a Fellowship of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand for his technical innovation and achievements.
In 2017, Peter was awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering by his alma mater Canterbury University for his outstanding contribution to engineering in New Zealand and internationally.
Peter’s ability to develop new designs and future thinking solutions is invaluable to customers and those he mentors.
Moyeen AhmadBSc Engineering, MSc, PhD
Moyeen brings a vast range of experience in both research, development and polymer optimization. He has published several research papers including three chapter on polymer materials in peer reviewed journals. He serves as a reviewer of more than 20 journals on polymer materials published by Elsevier, SAGE and Willey.
Moyeen received a BSc in Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh; an MSc in Applied Polymer Science from University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany; and a PhD in Materials and Process Engineering from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
Moyeen's commitment to developing pultrusion technology and his innovative work, is key in delivering leading composite research and furthering product value and performance.
Jasper HoldsworthBE (Hons), MEM, M.App.Fin, AMP (182)
Jasper has been responsible for the overall performance of Pultron since 2004 and founded Mateenbar Limited, a subsidiary of Pultron and world leader in non-metallic composite rebar. He has overseen the commercialization of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) products across marine, mining, civil, electrical and recreational industries during his tenure at Pultron and has actively encouraged further research into composite technology.
Jasper received a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the University of Canterbury and went on to complete his Masterate in Engineering Management. He attained a Masterate in Applied Finance from the University of Macquarie in Australia and was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank for several years in Sydney before returning to New Zealand.
Jasper was awarded a NZ Prime Minister's Scholarship to attend Harvard Business School where he completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP).
