Pultron Composites is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nick Crofts, to the new position of CEO at Mateenbar in Dubai.

Most recently, Mr. Crofts was CEO at Amiblu, the world’s largest glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) pipe production, and technology licensing business. He holds a first degree in Materials Science, an MBA, and is a Chartered Engineer.

Pultron CEO, Jasper Holdsworth said, “With extensive experience in specified construction markets and composite technology, Mr. Crofts is well placed to help us accelerate the expansion of our non-metallic reinforcement business in key markets”.

Mateenbar™ has recently been approved as a rebar material used to reinforce concrete for civil and infrastructure construction by Saudi Aramco, the Florida State Department of Transportation, and the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario, Canada. Mateenbar™ is ¼ the weight of steel rebar offering better productivity in terms of transportation and installation. As a non-metallic reinforcement, it leaves a legacy of a corrosion-free concrete infrastructure, significantly reducing life-cycle costs.

“The steel rebar market is vast but this material is fundamentally compromised in corrosive environments. GFRP rebar is the perfect solution and from my analysis Mateenbar™ is best-in-class. This promises to be the fastest-growing composite application globally and I am delighted to come on board at this pivotal time”, said Mr. Crofts.

Pultron is currently raising growth capital for its subsidiary Mateenbar, to fully advance the global growth opportunity for Mateenbar™.
